Cruise Amsterdam’s canals deluxe style
For this private canal cruise we take you on board of a majestic saloon boat. The boat radiates grandeur, built in the early 20th century with oak, teak and mahogany. Still having its authentic vibe, nowadays the boat is equipped with modern comfort. It has an electric engine, making it a tranquil and clean canal ride. On warm days, the windows can be opened. On cold days, the heating ensures that you still have a pleasant tour. The boat is owned by Rederij de Jordaan.
Taking care of the inner spirit as well
While cruising Amsterdam’s canals, we will serve you drinks and snacks. There’s a wide range of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks to choose from. Snacks include, among others, Dutch cheese, chocolate, and nuts. If you have any specific wishes on drinks and/or snacks, please let us know and we can arrange it for you.
Canal ring: Unesco World heritage
We will decide on a suitable meeting point depending on your location. Our private guide will first take you for a little walk, introducing some first stories of the city. Then we will accompany you on board to share more stories with you about Amsterdam and the canals. Since 2010 the Canal ring is listed as a Unesco World heritage site.

Besides the classic saloon boat, we have two other boat tour options. The classic saloon boat is most suitable if you are looking for a deluxe private canal tour through Amsterdam.
Our standard canal tour is with one of the most common Amsterdam boats: an electric sloop of a comfortable size for your small group. Your guide is a skilled skipper as well.
Are you looking for a more authentic boat tour experience? Then a Plastic Whale boat might be most suitable for you. Once we are in touch to prepare your tour, we can talk all options through and decide what would be the best canal tour through Amsterdam for you.

The weather is bad, what happens now?
The classic saloon boat is covered and heated, so your canal cruise will be comfortable even when it rains. Amsterdam Odyssey tours will take place under any weather conditions, unless a formal warning regarding the weather has been issued by the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI).
