What our guests say about our tours
The tour, which was set up around the theme ‘underground’, was very original and showed me new sides of the city where I have been living for 18 years. Several locals from different walks of life shared their stories about the places we visited, which really added to the experience. Recommend Amsterdam Odyssey for sure!
The guides are passionate about sharing stories, very engaging! The tour was unique, with interesting facts and a creative story. I definitely recommend these lovely ladies to anyone who wants an authentic, off the beaten track tour!

About the tour
Amsterdam is considered to be one of the most sustainable cities of Europe. Firstly there is our main means of transport: the bicycle. And with the development of electric cars and boats, emission-free traffic keeps increasing. As Amsterdam is small, it’s easiest to go around by bike. That is what we do during this tour as well. We will take nice routes, away from the main roads where possible. You can find innovative, sustainable spots and stories in all parts of the city.
In the north, west and east of Amsterdam, former industrial areas have turned into creative, sustainable hubs. At these locations, you can find a mix of food, art and businesses with ‘good stories’.
Since a few years, sustainability plays a big role in all (re)construction projects. It’s very common to reuse construction materials. Other aspects of city development projects, among others: use of sustainable materials, energy saving, renewable energy and sustainable water management.
Around the city you find several sustainable hubs. They are often on former industrial terrain or in former office – or school buildings. Creativity, innovation and sustainability go hand in hand at these inspirational spots.
At some locations, you can do sustainable souvenir shopping as well.
Often you can find something to eat or drink here as well – of course home made with organic, local produce and a lot of love.
Inspirational places and people
Where exactly are we going on this tour? That depends on your specific situation and interests. We can have a closer look at one or more examples of sustainable architecture. And, once the construction is done, we also like to live a sustainable life. ‘To use’ instead of ‘to own’: get inspired by several examples of circular economy.
Interested in ‘fair fashion’? We could drop by Nukuhiva, Vega-Life, Charlie & Mary and/or other stores.
